Maskwonicut Street Bridge work resumes Oct. 26
MassDOT will resume construction on the Maskwonicut Street Bridge starting Monday, Oct. 26, with contractor Aetna Bridge Company continuing bridge and road demolition during set day and night hours.
The town of Sharon announced Oct. 20 that MassDOT will resume work on the Maskwonicut Street Bridge starting Monday, Oct. 26.
Contractor Aetna Bridge Company is expected to continue completing bridge and road demolition at the site. Work will take place Monday through Friday, with daytime hours from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and nighttime hours from 12:30 to 3:30 a.m. Demolition activity will occur only during the nighttime hours.
The bridge spans the Amtrak/MBTA tracks and has been closed for more than a decade.
