Sharon Releases 2025 Water Quality Report, Fire Flow Test Set for Wednesday Night
The town's Water Division is keeping residents informed on two fronts this week: the 2025 Water Quality Report is now posted online, and a routine fire flow test is set for Wednesday night at a busy stretch of General Edwards Highway.
TOWN HALL
The Sharon Water Division released its annual water quality report Tuesday morning, giving residents a fresh look at the system that serves the town. The network includes six groundwater supply wells and pumping stations, four water storage tanks, and roughly 120 miles of water mains. The full report is available at the town's website (https://www.sharonma.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?aid=120).
Also from the Water Division: a required fire flow test is scheduled for Wednesday, June 24, at 9 p.m. outside Mick Morgan's at 973 General Edwards Highway. Residents in that area should expect brief activity near the hydrant that evening. Details are posted at https://www.sharonma.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?aid=119.
Looking ahead to the weekend, the town will hold Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, June 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Department of Public Works, 217R S. Main St. Residents can drop off qualifying household materials during that window.
