Sharon Extends Bay Road Detour Through Sept. 11

SHARON — A construction detour on Bay Road will stay in place through Friday, Sept. 11, the town announced, keeping the roadway partially closed as work continues in the area.

The Town of Sharon's website confirms a detour "in place again on Bay Road" running from Thursday, Aug. 6 through Friday, Sept. 11, affecting travel through that stretch of road for several more weeks.

Separately, the town's previously announced overnight closure of South Walpole Street for bridge substructure concrete work, a story Townbrief Sharon has covered in prior editions, took effect Sunday night, running from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday.
