Sharon Sets New Overnight Detour on South Walpole Street for Sunday
A new overnight detour will close South Walpole Street in both directions this weekend as crews pour bridge substructure concrete, while a Bay Road detour already underway continues through mid-September.
TOWN HALL
The Town of Sharon announced a full detour in both directions of the South Walpole Street work zone beginning Sunday, Aug. 30 at 8 p.m. and running until 5 a.m. Monday, so crews can place bridge substructure concrete. The closure comes as another detour remains in effect on Bay Road, which has been in place since Aug. 6 and is scheduled to run through Sept. 11, according to the town's homepage announcements.
Separately, the town confirmed the Memorial Beach main parking lot has been repaved and restriped, a project completed in recent days.
