Sharon Board of Health, Dana-Farber Partner on Free Skin Cancer Screenings June 18

SHARON — The Sharon Board of Health is partnering with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to offer free skin cancer screenings on June 18 at Town Offices — a no-cost community health event landing just as summer gets underway and one day before both the town and the library close for Juneteenth.

TOWN HALL

The Board of Health and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute will hold free skin cancer screenings on June 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Sharon Town Offices, 90 S. Main St. No cost or insurance information was specified in the announcement; residents should visit townofsharon.net for any additional details as they are posted.

Town Offices will be closed Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth Independence Day. The town has also posted guidance for residents on what to expect with the 2026 FIFA World Cup underway at venues across the United States; that information is available on the town's website.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

Sharon Public Library will be closed Friday, June 19, for Juneteenth as well. Patrons heading to the library before the holiday should also know that parking at 1 School St. has been limited since June 11 as a solar panel installation on the building's roof continues. No completion date has been announced.
