SHARON — Water Management Advisory Committee approves December minutes and schedules budget vote for January 29. Water Department Superintendent Eric Hooper proposed an $8.3 million FY 2027 budget with a 5 percent rate increase, requesting $700,000 from retained earnings; WMAC agreed to convene a special meeting to review details and vote on submission to the Select Board and Finance Committee. Weston & Sampson presented survey data from five towns operating their own water systems to inform the new Sharon Water Master Plan, due June 30, 2026.

Water Treatment Plant construction remains on schedule for July 2026 startup, with solar panels to be installed at Well #5.
