Water Management Advisory Committee backs Master Plan, schedules facility tour

SHARON — Water Management Advisory Committee approves prior minutes, reviews Master Plan asset management findings. Margaret McCarthy of Weston & Sampson outlined water main replacement priorities based on age and material composition, tank life expectancies ranging from 26 to 120 years, and well upgrade needs including PFAS removal at Well #7. The Master Plan is due by June 30.
DPW Superintendent Eric Hooper announced the new Water Treatment Plant construction at Well #4 remains on schedule with a site tour set for April 9, and reported annual revenue projected at $7.1 million as new water rates take effect April 1.
