The board voted unanimously March 18 to allow Solect Energy to begin placing panels on the library roof, with discussion focused on minimizing patron disruption through delayed openings or Sunday placement. In a separate 5-0 vote with one abstention, Trustees recommended the Select Board deny the Sharon Forward Foundation's request to use the High Street parking lot for an Art in the Park event, citing Library Policies limiting property use to library-affiliated organizations.
Library Director Randy Gagné reported a $10,000 Carnegie Foundation gift received, the Evergreen system conversion set for April 27, and Hoopla's digital-services budget increased from $600 to $1,200 monthly.
