Sharon Fire Department Installs Four New Public AEDs
The Sharon Fire Department has installed four new public-access Automated External Defibrillators around town, a move officials say will improve emergency response for cardiac events across the community.
TOWN HALL
The Fire Department's rollout of four new public-access AEDs marks the most significant town announcement of the day. Town officials say the devices will be placed in locations that broaden coverage beyond existing sites, giving bystanders faster access to life-saving equipment during cardiac emergencies. The move builds on the department's recent emphasis on emergency preparedness.
The August edition of the town's Sharon Matters newsletter is now available on the town website, offering residents a fuller rundown of municipal happenings this month.
Several town boards have meetings on the calendar this week, including the Planning Board and a Finance Committee subcommittee reviewing how the town clerk is selected and elected officials' salaries are set, both scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 6.
