Sharon Select Board unanimously recommends six proposed 2026 town meeting articles and approves lake restoration initiatives. Chair Kiana Baskin and board members voted 5-0 to back transfers of three Mansfield Street parcels to the Conservation Commission, amended notice-of-meeting bylaws, a strengthened dog kennel ordinance, updated executive compensation plans, and seasonal parking ban authority. The board also unanimously approved five Lake Massapoag Advisory Committee initiatives, including an MVP grant submission with a potential budget up to $350,000 for phosphorus control and stormwater management projects.
Town Administrator Frederic E. Turkington, Jr. reported a $325,000 snow and ice removal deficit from February storms with possible FEMA reimbursement.
