Select Board approves licenses, donations, and road closure for May events

Sharon Select Board approves consent calendar of liquor licenses, donations, and summer event permits. The board voted unanimously to grant one-day liquor licenses to Shovel Town Brewery and Temple Sinai of Sharon, approved a Common Victualler's License for Carriage House Pizza, and accepted $400 in donations from the Pande family to the Fire and Police Departments. The board also unanimously approved a Southeastern Regional Services Group DPW services contract worth $167,150 and voted to authorize a road closure at Pond and Gunhouse Streets for a Food Truck Festival on May 17.

Recreational Department requests passed unanimously, including approval to hold the Sharon Pride Festival on May 31 and the SYBSA/Fiesta Carnival during May 11-17, both at town parks, with Deborah Sampson courts approved for 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. hours.
