Sharon Select Board authorizes due diligence talks with Paramount Development on Carnegie Building reuse. Chair Xander Shapiro and the unanimously voting board framed the agreement as allowing both parties to negotiate project milestones and financing before sale, with commitment to maintain open communication with competing bidder Giggles and Wiggles. The board also unanimously approved a consent calendar authorizing contract awards totaling $814,107.52 for DPW supplies and water-treatment chemicals, ratified three-year collective bargaining agreements for school crossing guards and library employees effective July 1, 2026, and authorized on-premises alcohol establishments to extend service one hour (1 a.m.–2 a.m.) through July 31, 2026 under a state pilot program.
