SHARON — Municipal Solar Oversight Committee approves June operating review with four active or developing projects. The committee unanimously advanced prior minutes and welcomed new Energy Projects Manager Eden Floyd, who will analyze credits and project returns. Well Site 5 and Middle School solar projects are operating under new owner REC Solar following Town Administrator Turkington's signing of five transferred agreements.
Library and Ames Field canopies are under construction or scheduled to break ground by Labor Day. The Mountain Street Landfill project remains significantly delayed, now projected for first quarter 2027 commercial operation; the committee voted 4-0 to authorize George Aronson and Arnold Wallenstein to draft a letter to DSD demanding annual lease payments of $522,500 and flagging potential lease default.
