Sharon's Municipal Solar Oversight Committee approved prior meeting minutes and received updates on four active solar construction projects. George Aronson, Chair, and members Arnold Wallenstein, Chris Pimental, and Rob Maidman heard that the Mountain Street Landfill installation expects mechanical completion by February 2026 and operational start in Q2 2026, while the Well #5 installation has commenced operation and the Middle School solar canopy awaits an Eversource witness test. The committee flagged a June 30, 2026 deadline for school roof solar contracts to maintain Investment Tax Credit safe harbor, with Maidman monitoring roof replacement projects at three elementary and middle schools.
