Sharon's Municipal Solar Oversight Committee approved prior minutes and reviewed multiple solar installations underway across town. Chair George Aronson, along with Arnold Wallenstein and Rob Maidman, heard updates from Allen Giles of Solect Energy on the Well #5 project, now operating with bill credits going to the Water Department's two largest-consumption meters, and the Middle School solar canopy project, which received Eversource Permission to Operate on April 5, 2026, and will offset roughly 60 percent of the school's electrical load. Aronson and Wallenstein agreed to investigate the status of the town's 2016 power purchase agreement with Syncarpha in Freetown, Massachusetts, and determine whether it impacts how the town allocates bill credits from its own solar installations.
