Municipal Solar Oversight Committee approves lease amendment for REC Solar projects.

SHARON — The Municipal Solar Oversight Committee unanimously approved a conditional recommendation for the Town to execute a lease amendment with REC Solar, which recently acquired membership interests in the Well Number 5 and Middle School solar projects from Solect. George Aronson, Chair, presided as the committee welcomed new Town Energy Manager Eden Floyd and heard updates on the Mountain Street Landfill, Library rooftop, and Pond Street Canopy solar projects, all in development with mechanical completion or construction start expected by fall 2026. Arnold Wallenstein will revise the REC Solar lease amendment to clarify the new owner's obligations before final subcommittee approval.
