Library Trustees approve children's mural plaque size compromise.
Library Trustees · Meeting of February 11, 2026
SHARON — Library Trustees approve mural plaque compromise to align donation recognition standards. The board unanimously voted to cap the title banner at ten inches high by thirty inches wide and limit the separate dedication plaque to approximately four and one-half inches by seven and one-half inches, resolving concerns raised by artist Alison Kellom and aligning the dedication plaque with other five-thousand-dollar donor recognition pieces. Director Randy Gagné presented the two-component clay design.
Separately, approximately two hundred thousand dollars remains in the Building Project fund, with a suggestion to direct those funds toward Main Street crossing safety improvements, an issue detailed in a letter to the Select Board enumerating patron and staff safety concerns.
