Lake Massapoag Tapped as Filming Site for AMC's 'Walking Dead: Dead City'
SHARON — Lake Massapoag will serve as a filming location for AMC's "The Walking Dead: Dead City," according to a report circulating this week, giving Sharon an unexpected pop-culture moment even as the town works through a run of August road and facility closures.
TOWN HALL A detour on Bay Road that began Thursday, Aug. 6, will remain in place through Friday, Aug. 28, according to the town's website. Separately, the west side of the Veterans Memorial Park Beach parking lot will close for construction on Wednesday, Aug. 12, and again on Monday, Aug. 17, weather permitting.
