Lake Massapoag Advisory Committee approves FY27 MVP grant budget proposal.

Lake Massapoag Advisory Committee · Meeting of March 4, 2026

SHARON — Lake Massapoag Advisory Committee unanimously approves revised FY27 MVP grant with amendments. Chair Laura Russell and all six members backed the stormwater and shoreline project at Veterans Memorial Beach after switching from porous to regular asphalt for cost efficiency, though the paving is now ineligible for MVP funds; drainage, shoreline, and signage components remain eligible. The committee asked landscape firms to bid on project management after volunteer Amanda Sloan declined a formal management role; Sloan estimated plant purchasing and installation at $30,000.

Conservation Commission Clerk Jana Katz will handle project invoicing going forward.
