Lake advisory committee approves $36,500 in contracts for water quality monitoring and mapping

SHARON — Lake Massapoag Advisory Committee approves $36,500 in monitoring and mapping contracts. Chaired by Laura Henze Russell, the committee unanimously backed three TRC Environmental agreements, $7,200 for plant mapping, $9,100 for in-lake monitoring, and $9,700 for targeted testing, and a $9,500 Neponset River Watershed Association contract for water quality sampling and technical assistance. Members also unanimously approved $2,000 in egg addling funding and discussed establishing dedicated town staff to oversee lake initiatives beyond volunteer capacity.
