SHARON — Finance Committee approves prior minutes, tracks solar project delays and library redevelopment. Chair Donald Brichta and Finance Director Krishan Gupta reported that a planned sale of the landfill solar project portfolio will delay lease revenue by an estimated 23 weeks into fiscal 2027's third quarter, creating a $375,000 shortfall; the town expects $50,000 to $60,000 in departmental appropriation turnbacks, potentially rising to $90,000 to $100,000 with unused encumbrances. Brichta expressed concern that the School Committee's 5-2 appointment of Dr.
Jocelyn as next Superintendent lacked a broader public search or formal candidate evaluation process typical of similar municipal and school leadership positions.
