SHARON — Economic Development Committee reviews town center progress and future business group formation. The committee discussed downtown projects including a 110-unit extended-stay hotel, bank, and marijuana store at High Plain Road and Route 1, which is in final approval stages and expected to take 18 months to build. Vice Chair Shana Seidenberg and Chair Hy Waxman hosted 15 business owners at the library; the group is working to formalize a business organization, with volunteers managing a new directory and events calendar.
The committee approved its March 2 minutes 5-0 and will meet again May 11, 2026.
