DEI Committee approves Pride co-sponsorship and Speak Out custodial fees.

SHARON — Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee votes to co-sponsor Pride Festival and backs community event fees. The committee unanimously approved co-sponsorship of the 7th Annual Sharon Pride Festival on May 31, waiving the standard venue fee, per motion by Vice Chair Kim Hokanson. Members also voted 5 to 0 with one abstention to cover $612 in custodial fees for the co-sponsored Community Speak Out on March 22, despite the fee not being waived under the town's co-sponsorship model.
Chair Jennifer Illuzzi and member Matthew Zinno presented a streamlined revision to the committee's strategic plan, which the committee tabled to April. Christopher Dumais reported the Community Roundtable rescheduled due to inclement weather.
