SHARON — The Sharon Council on Aging Board reported success in its AARP Tax Aide season, accommodating 112 taxpayers and generating $280,309 in combined federal and Massachusetts state refunds and credits. Executive Director Kaitlyn Thibeault completed a comprehensive operations manual for the Council and reported that April transportation services totaled 276 rides. The Board reviewed accessibility concerns at community and memorial beaches, including an unpaved ADA parking spot and damaged ramp railings; the Recreation Department committed to working with the Sharon Commission on Disabilities to address the issues.
