Sharon Council on Aging Advisory Board approved February minutes and reviewed operations. Director Kaitlyn Thibeault reported February ridership of 186 trips, down six percent year-over-year, and announced an introductory meeting with new Sharon Library director Randy Gagne to coordinate programming. HESSCO is seeking an eight percent budget increase, while a grant request for Town Center Sidewalks was denied; the next application period opens in November.
A Sunrise Senior Living project at Edge Hill Road and Norwood Street was rejected by the Planning Board, though two Local Initiative Projects announced housing lotteries for qualified low-income applicants.
