SHARON — Conservation Commission continues hearings on Birch Hill II Subdivision and Sunrise Senior Living land disturbance permit. Chair Peg Arguimbau and five voting members unanimously continued the Birch Hill NOI to September 17 at the applicant's request with no recorded debate. The Sunrise hearing on a proposed senior living and memory care facility at Norwood Street and Edge Hill Road consumed most of the meeting, with peer reviewer Matt Collins of PARE Corporation and applicant representative Eric O'Brien of VHB clashing over whether geotechnical test pits demonstrate groundwater recharge compliance and whether a direct or indirect connection to the municipal storm sewer system is required.
Town Engineer Kyle Dubuc and Assistant Town Engineer Sonal Pai asked for more detailed stormwater sketches. The commission approved prior meeting minutes and approved continuance of the Sunrise hearing to September 17 at 7:30 PM.
